The Shrine has a sense of peacefulness though on a hill
above the traffic of the parkway. It is open to all.
The approach to the Shrine is down a cobblestone
road, Wakefield, and past the porches of several houses. Even
the bricks of the pathway in the Shrine, the way they are placed,
have a modesty. At the far side of the pathway, past the wooden
benches, is a very small spring.
Folks care for the Shrine, from cleaning to planting
flowers. Stella, I hope I've remembered her name correctly,
is the lady in the photo of a photo. She was a very devout person
who shared her faith by her way of being and who looked after
the Shrine for many years.
